Drove today on the M40, M25 & M1 in the afternoon during heavy/torrential rain.
Almost everyone has dropped their speed accordingly. There is standing water everywhere and spray means visibility is poor.
Even in these conditions there are morons who are weaving through the traffic, cutting people up, pulling in front of people giving them about 20 feet of stopping distance.
This wasnt just one or two idiots but a consistent 10% of the traffic on the road driving way too fast for the conditions.
I swear this is getting worse and worse as the years go by. It was the most stressful drive I've ever had.
Is this everyone's experience or was I just unlucky?

Amen Bro.... I guess I'm lucky I only have to commute there occasionally but yeah it's been bad. The rain just brings out the worse in people...Almost everyone has dropped their speed accordingly. There is standing water everywhere and spray means visibility is poor.

What do you expect? No motorway driving test, 95% of people have no driving instruction from the day they pass until they stop 60 years later! Add that to everybody being in a hurry, too many cars on the road, and the feeling if insulation and safety you get from a modern car and you have a recipe for disaster! Most people take zero pride in their driving and couldn't care less. The fact that people go back and take their test 10 times before passing by blind luck, and then treat driving as a right angers me too...
