Mk1 Ford Focus RS or Audi S3 or???

Following my 944s2 ending up in a hedge i need a new,

Hi days and Holidays car.

I have around £5k to spend,

i have been looking at Focus RS & S3.

or intrested on other peoples idea, i have no children but love doing camping/getting away for the weekend to it needs a boot.

Have a look at an EP3 Civic Type R, they are not for everyone but very practical and involving to drive. £5k will get you a nice facelift example.

Out of interest, why are you not getting another 944? I'm considering one at the moment.

Thought about a Leon Cupra R or Renaultsport Megane 225? Might even get a Cup Chassis or maybe even an R26? As has been said, not sure you'd get a Mk 1 Focus RS for that cash?

Could also consider an Integra Type R? I don't think you would get a DC5 and DC2's are getting very leggy and there aren't many unmolested examples left.

If you're looking at an S3, I'd say the Leon Cupra R (up to 06). Large, practical and great fun.

Great fum but miss the steering feel.
I would go for a looked after DC2 for thrashing.

Don't think you can get a well looked after RS for £5k could you?

Can get a very nice Mk1 S3 for that money now though and there not bad if looked after properly
