Hi All,

Got a new car today, has no tax but I wondered what is the best way to do this without the tax reminder letter and logbook? ideally need the car running asap.

Thank you for your help

take the new keepers section of the v5 along with proof of insurance to the post office, you can then get it taxed.

Yes, as the chap above indicated. You get the disc over the counter, put it in the car and you can start using it immediately.

Bear in mind that not all post offices do tax discs, so check the post office website before you travel.
