Sub £10k V8 GT's
Discussion
Looking for a Weekend car in the above category.
Been looking at BMW 840Ci and 645i.
Also looked at '90s 500 merc SL.
I used to like the previous Jag XK but im not sure now.
I could get a 840 for about £5k bit more for the others,i dont want to spend loads because ive just sold my BMW z4mc through lack of use to cost ratio!
Open to views and ideas.

Bit more info.....
I've had a maser 3200 and a cerb
Monaro a good shout.
Thing is I want it in my garage and all these cars are pretty long!
I need room for my bikes an tools etc
Don't want much eh??

If a 2 seater is ok, then with some luck and haggling you might pickup a nice MG RV8, they are pretty compact and short.
I daresay there's a few Cobra type kit cars in budget too or maybe even something hot road origin.
C3/C4 Corvette might be worth a look too and aren't anywhere near as big you might think.
Mustang's also aren't overly long either, Gen 1 60's ones and 80's/early 90's Fox body ones. Even the 94-01 sn95's aren't overly long.
If you're looking for a definite GT rather than a sports car the 928 sounds like a good option. For £10k you should be able to get a very nice one plus a contingency fund, which would hopefully go some way towards preventing any tales of woe.
Personally I'd find things like the SEC and the MG ZT 260 a bit too saloony. A coupe just fits the GT mould better in my view.

new shape SL500s are this money now. all the joys of the above plus top down motoring as an option
if you're happy to drop 2 cylinders and half your budget (so a bit of a stretch) - renault avantime. in fact you could probably build a nice v8 one for your budget...
lexus SC also has the right number of pistons and cost
