Hi all not realy into these ebay rubbish and paypal maybe someone who is could inlighten me on if i put a buy it now price off £600 and then got paid through paypal what are the fees going to be in total i imagine quite a lot

It is going to cost 40p to list the item , final value fees will be 10% of the selling price , upto a maximum of £40 . Paypal fees are I think about 3% so on a £600 item you are going to see £540 ish .

so to sum it up its going to cost me £60.00 to list 1 item and be paid for it thats painfully high

Cash on collection only or get them to do a bank transfer prior to postage.

You do open yourself up to more risk though, and if the company finds out they won't be happy.

I work on 15% of the hammer price, cos it's easier to work out. Yes eBay fees can appear high, but:-

Its a worldwide market
Typically stuff goes for its real value, there's very few bargains on ebay these days
You local auction house typically charge a lot more!
