Vauxhall Vivaro- Tyre milage?

My Vauxhall Vivaro van which is just under 12 months old is still on its original tyres and has just turned 47,000 miles & they are still well above the legal limit (fronts) the back pair still appear new. How long do people normally get out a set of tyres?It was supplied from new with Goodyears.

i've managed 60 one the rears of the crafter before they needed doing (approaching winter)

Fronts are cutrrently on 80 or so.

i used to struggle to get anything over 15k on the front of a transporter driving normally.
those were budgets from the likes of maxxis etc

we run transporters too.

They CHEW fronts. even good ones. Dread to think how some of the guys would cope with budgets!!! 5-8k I reckon

My Transit went through a pair of contis on the front in a shade over 17k. The budgets prior to them lasted 8k.... The rears... Still hardly worn after 50k.

To be fair at work I am in no hurry there's no point pushing on in a van & my work pay me every hour I am working/driving. It also will do 850 miles on a tank of fuel!

I think the tyres on commercial vehicles are rated slightly higher, ie "commercial", which can give an excellent return.

this is precisely my attidude, even in the van.

If only more people drove like this driving would be even more enjoyable than it already is.

I'd struggle to do 850 even driving like Miss Daisy!!!
