Now in time gone by I used to have a momo steering wheel on my old cinquecento. I thoroughly enjoyed this and looking back through my rose tinted glasses I now really want another for the Golf. Anyone else have a soft spot for steering wheels in this style and anyone else think they can really improve the driving experience?

I've got a MOMO wheel with a perforated leather grip in my Impreza. It is indeed a very nice wheel. A good wheel can add to the experience. A bad wheel can spoil a car (like that rubbish, super fat wheel in the BMW Z4M Coupe).

I always like to stick to OE style but get worn wheels fully re-trimmed. My E36 has been re-trimmed in 1/2 alcantara, 1/2 nappa leather whilst the GTV has been done in nappa and perforated leather - both look stunning and mean I can retain the airbags as well
