For me, it'd be a Porsche 928. Sure it looks dated by today's standards but its 1982 FFS

I'd get one of thos new rotary powered Mazda RX7s. I hear they've fixed the early reliability problems and with fuel being so cheap I'm sure 19mpg will be fine.

This os on the basis that I actually had an Alfetta 2000SL back then and lusted after one of these.

I did buy one of those in 1992 but it had no rust as it was in California. It cost $1100. Fantastic fun for the money!

I actually had one of those exact cars, though it was 1990...loved it to bits as it was my first car. Mine was metallic silver green though. RJR 19 Y, I'd love to have that plate now, just for sentimental reasons.

I had one exactly like that 30 years ago! EDIT: Not like the one above, a proper/original one with 3 speed 'auto' shifter and one piece seat.

Gorgeous car but it is secondhand.

The E28 came out last year. I could be tempted into a nice 528i SE, in silver, full oxblood leather interior with all the options ticked. The 535i isn't due out for another couple of years yet.
