i gotta 2002 2.5 v6 mondeo. only had it a couple of months and it is a pucker motor. However i Noticed a small puddle of fluid near front drivers wheel around 2 weeks ago. The car then started what i can only describe as a clicking/clunking noise when turning the steering wheel full lock and the car is now pulling to one side. Gotta mate to have a look and he reckons i need to order new cv joint kit. Was wandering what you guys and gals thought. As he is a good friend but can get ahead of himself sometimes.(comeon we all got at least 1 of them lol) I would appreciate your input and thoughts. thanks!

CV joint split on my ST24 and made a clicking noise on full lock (gets faster as you go faster), it never leaked anything however?

Best get under it and have a look. Take a few pics if needs be and post them up. It will be easier for people to advise you.

My car is in the garage at the moment having the steering rack reconditioned. I had similar symptoms to you, the seals let go allowing the power steering fluid to empty all over the floor. Give the gaiter near the front wheel a squeeze.

It was a pretty big leak, but I managed to slow it by using some power steering stop leak from halfrauds. You add it to the reservoir and it causes the seals to expand. Worth a shot.

Eta: the fluid may look black on the floor, mine did, but as soon as I dipped my fingers in it I realised it was red so knew it was power steering fluid. Check the reservoir too.
