Exhaust noise, not noticed before. Thoughts?

On my Clio, thought I could hear a noise, probably been there ages, just not realised.

It's completely standard, backbox is about 2 months old.

I might just be being stupid, is it anything to worry about?

If it's an aftermarket exhaust, a little rasp towards the top end is expected - listen to any Honda Type R with an upgraded exhaust, they sound like they are shooting swarms of angry hornets!

If it's a standard item, it's possible that it has always been there and you've only just noticed it. On the other hand, it could be a baffle working it's way loose, meaning the exhaust is slowly on the way out. Exhausts are sort of consumables anyway - even ones with "lifetime guarantees" don't last forever.

Thanks or the replies. Well it's a standard backbox, not aftermarket, brand new two months ago! Hopefully not on it's way out, that would be worrying. Just going to assume it's a sporty sound :-) doesn't make the car any quicker though haha

Standard from Renault, or like a quickfit type jobbie?

Very often, the pattern part replacements do tend to sound a bit buzzy from my experience.

Like I said before, just enjoy and dont worry about it

Might be an exhaust bracket has rusted through. I had an annoying rattle/buzzing noise on mine and a bracket had come away from the exhaust and was vibrating.
