Someone took a picture of my car in a lay by :S

I had just dropped a friend off in Buxton and was on my to Macclesfield over the Cat and Fiddle (A537), I pulled over to stretch my legs for a few minutes and have a smoke (don't judge me ) I had just got back into my car and and a car pulled up behind me, a woman got out of the passenger side and I saw a camera flash. I looked back and she was checking the camera, then there was another flash from her camera. I was just getting out to confront her, when the car drove off. Anyone ever seen anything like this or has it happened to you? I was annoyed and confused! Why the hell would someone do that?!? :S I'd maybe understand if I was driving a nice sparkly Lamborghini and they just wanted a picture of it, but (sadly) I don't own a sparkly Lamborghini.

Im going to bite - confront her over what exactly? She can take a photograph of whatever she chooses and theres nothing that you can do about it.

What did you feel that you were able to do exactly?

I don't really feel I'd have been able to do anything. I just found it very odd and creepy for her to be taking a picture of my car. And I'd have asked her why she was doing it. Yes she can take a picture of what she wants, but it's just very creepy and odd

Haha! That'd be headline news in the countrysides local paper "SHOCK: car parked in lay by!"

But being serious, I'd expect nothing less than a load of smart arse abuse off off of her. Probably a good thing I didn't confront her, I'm known for having a pretty loose connection between my mouth and brain when someone riles me.

I had a similar thing.

I was parked in a residential street and stood outside my car on the phone with the passenger door open.

Old guy comes round the corner in his car. Gets out and takes a photo of me stood next to my car. So I hang the call up immediately and take a photo back!

He went crazy, jumped in his car and drove off mouthing off.. I didn't ever say a word to him! lol
