Generic Peugeot/Citroen mid 00s car stereo..... CD jammed inside, eject just makes it click click click. Any ideas for getting it out?

For anyone interested, it's an original copy of The White Room by KLF smile

I had this happen when a mate of mine decided to put in two CDs at the same time.. He was pissed.

I think it just eventually ejected them.

Remove CD player.

Take off outer cover, you should be able to see the CD inside.

Push/lever it out. The ejecting mechanism isn't very strong, it won't take much force.

Think it needs a special "tool" to remove. Maybe a good Scottish
potholed road will sort it out.....

Tease it out with a table knife if you can see it whilst trying the eject button.

Same thing happens in my 9-3; it'll only half-eject the disc (i.e. you can see the disc at the very edge of the tray/lip but can't grip it). I found jiggling a leg from my sunglasses in there whilst jabbing the eject button and swearing at it often did the trick. Never use the CD player anymore...

Sounds like my three year old has been working his 'CD player magic' on that one. The only place I can play CDs now is the car - he's wrecked all the in house ones.

Butter knife will be taken to it tonight. Can feel the CD inside, wonder if tweezers would do it.

Some respond to the following - seems to invoke a different eject mechanism.

Ignition off, press eject button and hold down. Turn ignition on and keep eject held down. Hope like mad; you won't be able to cross your fingers, 'cos both hands will be busy!

Probably - although tweezers would damage the disk - if you run out of alternatives, make sure you put something soft on either of the tweezy bits - damage limitation smile
