Hi all. Sorry for the what car, but in a pickle.

Wife's bangernomics £350 ford Ka has just failed the mot, apparently needs 8 hours of welding, plus new steering rack/pump, front discs + pads plus some more stuff.

So, looking for the next one!

Cheap, reliable, not too worried about mpg as she does naff all miles in it. doesnt want a 'big' car (anything larger than a golf i'd say). Something with a bit of poke would be nice, as she does enjoy the odd hoon.

Looking at:

MX-5,
Ford Focus
Vauxhall Corsa
Renault Clio
Peugeot 206

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Punto HGT?

All girlies seem to love Punto's. Go quite well and have sufficient toys.

What about something like a 3-door SAAB 9-3 Coupe Aero 2.0T?

I bought an MX5 for the GLW last weekend. It's a 1991 UK car, not a spot of rust on it, and I paid £995, which included 6 months tax. She absolutely loves it.
