DVLA tax check :(

I just performed the DVLA tax check to see if my last car was still on the go and I found out that apparently it has gone to the great car heap in the sky (or at least is running around untaxed) I couldn't believe quite how upset I was about that, guess I always believed that I might see it again.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It happens. If you're emotionally attached to a car and get rid of it probably will end up scrapped. My dad sold a car to a scrapper, saw it two years later in sainsburys car park, terrible car, Montego estate.

It could have left the country my old MGBGT did I got and email a while back from the new owner in Europe. After my full restoration, on it over ten years, only one bit of rust had surfaced on a lower panel. Thanks to loads of Dintrol , Por 15, so quite happy on that part. It shows my workmanship is not that bad after all. I had the car for over ten years before, it was sold my first project.
