Hi All,

I am getting a 4x4 soon from someone in the West Mids. I really dont want to have to drive all the way there again to pick it up and drive it back. Can someone please recommend one those companies that transports cars for you, I would prefer to try this option?

I am based in Hertfordshire, so need someone to be able to go both ways (so to speak :-) ).

Thanks in advance.

Train/coach. I recently went up from Surrey to Cumbria to pick up a car I bought on eBay - £40 for the ticket and £30 for the fuel back vs. >£300 to get it trailered back.

You can always put it up as a car transport job on 'anyvan.com'. You'd be surprised how cheap it can get.

If the vehicle and you are road legal then I recommend you make the trip to get it

Failing the above then get mate with B+E licence and car trailer to pick it up - and go with them
