I'm impressed with my MPG
Discussion
I have just driven from southampton to cheshire in the BMW 650, and achieved 39.4mpg!
Calculated from fuel station to fuel station, proper working out as well
I was really trying! Switching off at traffic lights and cursing at around 60-70mph depending on hills.
Anyway I really wanted to apologise to anyone i might have held up on the A34 - M40 - M6.
I know I will get the "Cool story bro". But all I ever do is slate the car on here, its boring and dull and what not. So I thought I would do a little praising after doing a job well done.

As per people above, I'd rather just pay the extra and never drive a diesel.
Plus, if you are lucky enou to own a recent petrol car, the fuel economy is getting better and better on them.
Once you factor in higher purchase price new, not to mention diesel being more expensive (potential 1.5k+ DPF problems) I don't think you are any better off with a diseasel.
Glad to see most on PH prefer petrol power
