Does anyone else notice the same car, Pistonheads-esque or otherwise, on the way to/from work.

I do, mostly on my way home, but sometimes on the way in. A lovely blue Audi S4 with a private plate beginning with "S4".

It's the type of situation where, if we were walking past eachother at the same regularity, I would probably say hello.

Anyway, Hi to the guy with the S4, I'm the guy who drives the magnolia Desert Beige Bora with a Comic Strip Wing wavey

Cheers

yes I do the same daily route and given that 99% percent of cars here are Korean models, I notice the nice new Touran and Volvo C30 I see most days!

When I was on the road driving from Swansea to Cardiff at 5am ready for my 6am shift many years ago, I would often seen the same row of cars crawling along at 50 in lane 1 at a particular section of the M4 in the mornings. They probs thought something similar about the mercedes that would nip past too!

Are you northern?

I see loads of the same cars every day. Shows how boring and mundane life gets.

Nope, far from it biggrinhehe

I see loads of the same cars also, but only really "notice" this particular one. Probably because it's a particularly nice car.

I see a Ferrari California dropping someone off at the station every day.

Not a bad commuter car, that.

The difference is you southerns have far more time to see the same cars everyday as you travel at a blistering 3mph

The northern comment refers to the T in the title...

But yes, we all drive at 0.2mph every time we go out... way to generalise wink

Yeah, see a silver Boxster, reg 1 EBL, almost every day.

Also drive past a house every morning with a red Elise and a lovely Clio Williams outside, reg ACL 10W, although that probably doesn't count.

My commute is a mix of rural A roads and country lanes, so I see the same cars day after day, and get stuck behind the same vehicles day after day.

My OH and I share much of the same route and travel at not dissimilar times, so we tend to compare notes over dinner on which one of the usual suspects has made us reverse/held us up/etc. each day.

Ha, good thread.

I see a few every day that I always notice.

There is the middle aged woman who drives an immaculate mid 70's American truck, she's my favourite because of the outlandish nature of this thing making it's way through the English countryside every day.

A guy in a lowered 106 gti. A girl in a lowered mk4 Golf gti.

Oh and a woman (presumably called Becky) who looks a little pig-ish in a Z4 with the number plate P19 BEK.

If I'm running late I see a blue Focus CC with REV in the numberplate. I like to imagine he is a man of the cloth but he does like to make progress. I see him start out on Grays Inn then he takes a different route via St Pauls to me before I see him again on the A2.

Get tailgaited hard by a 1.1 Peugeot 206 on the A2 at sun in the sands about once a week. A little blue one. Tosser.

Often follow a red GT4 with black wheels in on a Frdiay night all the way from Blackwall to Mount Pleasant.

Used to get raced every day by a Golf GT over the flyover from the Swanley interchange towards Eynsford. I think that's what he was trying to do anyway although I haven't seen him for a while. I used to meet the same old gimmer in a Toyota Corolla on a bit of single NSL who I'd overtake and then be tailgaited by. This went on for quite a while...

In your case, it would be noticing particular people of the female variety - unless you have the ghey. You should start a thread in the Lounge wink

Is that what it is? I've no idea, I drive an Integra so I've no idea about some fat 6 pot hehe

Even though I'd have bought one if there were actually any for sale at the time frown

I have to pass the Heath Mount School so regularly see a brand new Mercedes C63 AMG, and a Rolls Royce Phantom (who drops their kids off in this!?)

However most common are the herds of mums in Mercedes ML's, Range Rovers / Evoques, Audi Q7s / BMW X3/X5/X6s. Of course little children need these big cars.

I do occasionally see one asshat every morning however, bloke drives a grey/silver BMW compact with some mesh wheels, like a polished BBS design or split rim or similar. The guy drives at 10 tenths everywhere he goes, which is commendable, he must really enjoy whatever he does for work as he is very keen to get the Hertford every day. What isn't commendable is the stupid speeds he carries through Stevenage town, during rush hour, whilst there are kids walking on the pavements next to the road.

We all enjoy a spirited drive, but this guy is an accident waiting to happen.
