Smart Forfour Brabus

Morning PH'ers,
Over the last 6 months i've been car window shopping, looking at everything from a 3 series convertible to a Focus ST!
I've since decided (& after recent personal circumstances changed) that the car i want is a a Smart Forfour Brabus.
Ok, ok, it's a smart car, it has plastic body work, but the interior (to me) looks sublime, with all the little Brabus badges all over it, it's cheap to tax, cheap to insure, is better than my current car on performance terms & looks relatively good on fuel for the performance gains.
I've joined a couple of Smart forums & i read the recent PH article about them, which seemed to rate them.
I gather they're 'Marmite' car's, but what're they like handling wise, speed / acceleration looks perfectly acceptable? All the owners seem to rave about them!
