How to remove snapped aerial
Discussion
My old faithful station snotter has one of these type of roof-mounted aerial:

Unfortunately, some waste of blood and organs decided their night of drinking base-spec lager and chatting up thrush-ridden slags was not complete without a spot of petty vandalism and removed it with prejudice over the weekend
Unfortunately, the screw bit that can be seen in the pic above has stayed in the holder and I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to remove it. It's too flush with the holder to use a hacksaw to get purchase with a flat-blade screwdriver.
Have googled those bolt/screw extractor kits like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=sc...
Have never used one though - would it be suitable for this type of application?
Any other ideas?

There may be an alternative.
If you are talking about the two part aerial. Where there is a small unit attached to the car which the stick screws into.
Then inside the car you can usually get to it and could replace the whole thing. Do you have map lights or sunroof controls, it will probably be a screw inside that will release the outer part.
Good point, hadn't really considered that.If you are talking about the two part aerial. Where there is a small unit attached to the car which the stick screws into.

Will have a poke around later on to see how it all fits together.
