Steering wheel peeling - refurb ?

Evening all.
The "skin" of the steering wheel on my Mk6 Fiesta is peeling off - guess the previous owner had sweaty hands !
I dont want to buy one of these covers you see in Halfrauds - they make the wheel "bigger" and also dont look the best.
Is the only option picking up a 2nd hand wheel from the Bay of E, or are there companies who can repair ?
