The PH cool wall ?

i was pondering coolness the other day.
What marques are cool these days ? I think the short answer is not many.
BMW ? Well, they've not been cool for decades, Perhaps theyve never been cool ? There was a time when they were the desireable aspirational banner of middle england but now they exude nothing more than averageness. A victim of their own success and proliferation perhaps.
Audi ? Probably the uncoolest marque out there at the moment ! Clarkson didnt help much and everytime an A5 goes past you at 130mph right up your chuff on the M25 they lose yet another point of coolness (about one every 4 minutes !)
Mecedes ? Well definitely not cool, they never will be. But they consistently avoid being uncool IMO.
Lotus ? Well, they are the kings of ride and handling. Their cars are resolved in a way that puts everyone else on the planet to shame. But they aint cool at the moment ... no sireee ! Swiss beats and Freddie Mercury tells you all you need to know.
Porsche ? yeah, a 2.8 RSR on full chat in Gulf blue is probably the definition of coolness, but your mum with a blue rinse in ia boxster ? A 911 RS with AC, an ipod lead, satnav and chock full of nannies ? No thanks !
Ford ? Not especially uncool but not as cool as they were fairly recently. The glory days of the mk1 focus, puma and Ka are sadly now long gone. Shame.
That just leaves Ferrari and from where im sitting, they are right out in front. The 458 is both a technical and emotional masterpiece which won every test in sight, the FF is a monumental machine in its own right, they still make mouthwatering collectable reference points like the 599GTO and the Scuderia and as for the new car ... 730bhp V12 and 0-124mph in 8.5 seconds ... How cool is that !

Ferrari are to anal to be cool The coolest car company out there just now are Aston Martin or Lamorghini

Have to disagree about Ferrari being cool - I find them far too... Obsessive about being the best at everything, down to the point where I'm starting to wonder if the suggestions of them rigging reviews is true.
For me Astons are very cool - they're occasionally bought by uncool people, and maybe a few too footballers trundle round in them, but any firm that makes consistently beautiful cars, yet lets their MD race at the N24 is a winner to me.
Also cool: Pagani and Koenigsegg (for their lunacy), Maserati, Spyker, Sunbeam, TVR, Weismann.

IMHO......the Balboni, the Superleggera, the Aventador and the Reventon are quite cool cars.
However, my current favourite cool car company is Pagani, the new 760 is off the scale (again IMHO).

t crazy is cool; Lewis Hamilton ordered his with a manual box and they said yes. I doubt Ferrari would do that for you.
