My Nissan Leaf weekend Test Reports
Discussion
So, after much arsing around I managed to arragnge a long term test of a Nissan Leaf, Nissan UK were of no helo whatsoever but my local dealer (Wessex Bristol) have been very helpful.
I collected the car just after lunch today & after a brief rundown of the cars functions I was free to go.
Thus far I've done only 8 miles so no news on range etc, that will follow. What I can say is the car is very nicely finished inside & is very comfortable, as on would expect from a £25,000 car. In the 8 miles I did travel the range when from 110miles to 112 miles, so infinate range then!
The drive itself is, at first, most un-nerving. There's no feedback at all through the car at all when you depressed the throttle, it's just proceeds serinley down the road, with barely a whisper.
Looking forwards to seeing what the next 3 days brings.

Well, this weekend consited of endless running around for errandes, kids cluds etc, way more than normal. A total of over 200miels Saturday & Sunday.
Not once did I get even close to running out of range, 40 miles was the lowest. It's a case of chaging your habits slightly. Park car on drive, plug in, not wait until it's empty before charging as this takes 8-9hrs. But keeping it "topped up" prevents this "long charging" from being required.
The ride is very comfortable & the handling, whilst safe, was still keen enough to be entertaining.
Would I but one? In short yes, if the price dropped to below £18,000 I would buy one for our daily driver.
