Ok I have a slight dilemma and need some help, I own a well establish tuning garage (specializing in European cars) and need a project most of the cars in the list I have owned but need something special for me and the shop.
1) Nissan Skyline R32 or R33 (Available where I live)
2) BMW E46 M3 (Import from the US)
3) Delta Integrale EVO (Japan) I have a soft sport for these but quality is so so.
4) Escort RS Cosworth owned a Sierra Cosworth when I lived in Ireland (Import from Germany/Italy).
5) Lancer EVO 9
Any suggestions please no American V8’s and they have to be manual.
Thanks,

Honestherbert

Hi,

Brand is mainly BMW but we also do VAG and Mercedes. I don’t really do any Japanese cars.

Can't see why you'd even entertain the idea of a Skyline or Evo then.

I'm assuming this will partly be a rolling advert for you business, so surely it has to be a BMW, VAG, or Merc. What about a Merc 190 Evo II rep as a road / track car. It'll get plenty of interest and no one will want to kill you for stripping out a real one?

Judging by the fact that OP is a tuning garage mostly doing VAG/Merc/BMW, i'd probably hope he doesnt get his hands on a future classic like a GTA

How about doing 'something' with a new Beetle Turbo? Import, obviously.

Surely you have to pick a car that will best allow you to represent your garages particular talents. For example if European cars are your forte, then the BMW M3 with a M5 V10 in it, to show your engineering capabilities, and provide a flagship vehicle.

I think if you're a European specialist and you had the skyline for example, it would say to me, that yours business is European cars, but that's not where your interest lies, and it wouldn't in any way show me what you are capable of.

Exactly, and the v10 E46 can and has been done.

How about an r32 twin turbo/supercharger conversion stripped out for the track?

Or a z4 turbo conversion?

As you do VAG why not buy a Dialynx SWB Audi rolling shell and do a grp b rep? Lots of engine choices too from VAG capable of big power for little money.
