But there is a petrol variant too, which does mid 40's to the gallon - So I'm guessing he does understand the ICE, but has read more about Skyactiv than just the BBC news story

I can see Mazda doing well with this tech! The CX-5 is getting very good reviews and the new 6 looks very promising. All the weight saving and improved engine tech means the next MX-5 should be amazing!
