Hello,

new to the forums , but would be very grateful of a few opinions and advice.

I was driving yesterday and a car full of scals drove into my MX5 and rammed me off the road on purpose and unprovoked, I know it was intentional as they slowed down seen me, then put there foot down and crashed into the side of my car, there faces shown aggression, as seen from witnesses in there front gardens and on the roadside, then they sped off. I did not get a chance to see the reg, as it was all a bit of a blare.

My car is pretty much written off, full side is caved in and I have hit my head and have whiplash and ringing in ears, and needless to say I am very gutted about my car, and the repercussions it is going to have on my insurance, as I am 22 and paying as much as I can afford to pay already.

What possesses people to do such a stupid thing is beyond me and is getting to me at the moment, as I could of hit a kid or anything, and it seems, because I didn't get a reg the police wont be able to do anything, and Ill get punished with not being able to afford a car, that I work my balls off for.

Thanks in advance

Sorry to say you summed it up pretty well. No reg, and not a lot of information for the police to catch the fking aholes frown

Just hope the car is found and the driver is brought to justice. Where and when did it happen? and what car hit you?

Really sorry to hear the, but not too sure what can be done to help you. Did you manage to speak to any witnesses? Was this in a built up area? If so there may perhaps be some CCTV footage from shots/other cameras?

Do you have a vague description of the car- colour, make, model?
As mentioned, if it's somewhere fairly built up, they might be able to do some detective work.

Did any of the witnesses get the registration, or even the type of car? is there any chance of CCTV nearby?

If you have witnesses then you might be able to put a claim into the MIB

A car fulls of chavs (what kind of car?) just ploughed into you, on purpose, then drove off again, for absolutely no reason whatsoever?

I think "popcorn" and "custard" are going to be recurring words in this thread.

Hope you're ok though.
Given how easy it is to annoy some people. It's not impossible. I've had someone reverse at me, because I'd started to pull out of a junction before they came around a corner into view. I stopped and pulled out after they passed. But apparently I'd done something to make them want to ram me.

Did you get a good enough look at the occupants of the car to give a description to the police? In fact are the police doing anything?

Edit: just seen in your original posting that the police are unable to do anything. Give them as description of the occupants, if you can and say they assaulted you with their car. If they are unwilling to investigate then, refer to the Ombudsman.

I'm sure the police could easily be on the lookout for cars with damage matching the description and could also make bodyshops aware as well.

Owners clubs 'wanted:' posts for new bits to replace the broken bits can also help.

unless Troll, in which case fk off.

Ok, so you're full of st. Well done for bringing something productive to the topic - Are new users not allowed to sign up now? Or are they not allowed to talk about why they signed up until they meet your minimum level of posts?

OP - Hopefully a witness somewhere got the reg, or they've done it again / abandoned the car and can be traced back to it via dna. Out of interest, pissed anyone off recently that might have provoked this?

Yeah, how does he have 2 posts to his name, yet he joined yesterday, and has only posted once?
Because he posted the same thread twice. And the mods removed one.

Sorry, this just doesn't ring true...

So from no idea of the car it is now a 02 Silver Mondeo, phone the bizzies and be more careful where you deal in future.

Where did it say I had no clue of the car? I have no clue of the reg, but witnesses said it was a mondeo, I'm not from the area, my gf lives here, I was going to pick her up.im peed of as it is without people thinking I'm bullstting, I'm a decent lad, and keep myself to myself, hence why I'm so confussed on why they'd do it. I aint no drug dealer or someone who people would have a grudge with. But thanks allot to the people that responded with there advice, I'm still in the process of deciding what to do atm. The bizzies are well aware as they was on the seen with the ambulances and witnesses
