A Lotus Carlton reg L212 MAU Build number 0880G went through a local classic car auction

Was featured in a few magazines back in the day when it owned by the Technical Director of Caterham Cars

Was listed in the auction guide as 1993 Lotus Carlton Est £12000-£15000

Made £9500 plus fees at East Anglian Motor Auctions 5th May 2012

Now listed on the evil bay classified for £18,000 which seems like a nice profit if you can get it......

OK NOW THE WORK WE HAVE DONE TO THE CAR.

FULL RESPRAY

BRAND NEW SUSPENSION ALL ROUND MADE IN FIVE WEEKS BY GAZ SHOCKS AS NO ONE ELSE COULD SUPPLY US FOR THIS JOB.IT NO LONGER HAS ACTIVE RIDE,BUT IS NOW FULLY ADJUSTABLE AND HANDLES A DREAM.

THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN SORTED AND NOW IS A PLEASANT PLACE TO BE AGAIN.

SOME OF THE ELECTRICS WHERE FAULTY(SURPRISE) BUT NOW HAVE BEEN SORTED.

THIS CAR IS NEARLY SORTED AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS IT JUST NEEDS THE ENGINE BAY MADE TO LOOK NICER AND A FEW OTHER MINOR BITS DONE FOR IT TO BE A1.
Nice to see a garage that can work fast....... Full respray and new suspension made and fitted in a five week turnaround by Gaz

It's the 29th today it sold on the 5th so by my maths 24 days or a smidge over three weeks - I smell a rat carefull if anyone looks over the car the paint may well be still wet rofl

Looks like a rather chavy stereo on the hole too but I'm not into ICE

If someone pays the £18K then fair play, why do people complain because they know what they paid?

And if it's full of filler over rust with a £500 blow over having been outed through the auction system.........

Yeah right you'd be fine with that too

Price paid and garage profit doesn't concern me - claims of work carried out by the seller when some clearly been carried out by the previous owner as it wasn't possible within the timeframe does make me mistrust the seller slightly

But that's just me hey - Buyer beware hehe
