I have been swaying between getting a Toyota FJ Cruiser and a Jeep Wrangler for ages, so today I finally took the plunge and bought myself a 2008 Land Rover Defender 110. This in a country that has about three other Defenders, poor spares availability and where few people know what Defenders are. It is a mad choice, expecially as as well as being my off-road machine it will also be my daily office commute driver coping with horrendous traffic and tiny parking spaces. It is a manual in a land where 99% of cars are automatic. But I have always lusted after one and this one comes with an expedition roofrack, snorkel, spotlights, winch, towbar and looks the dogs. Wife is now having the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado which is a bit girly in comparison. Wish me luck folks!
