Help please 'ro in safety mode

Morning.....my ro has switched into safety mode and telling me to check the engine? It sounds expensive or is it linked to the same logic as the rubbish service reminder? I've a bad feeling its expensive. It came on as I changed from 1st to 3rd out of a roundabout, gave it some right toe and up came the beeps........nightmare. Any light on this, or how I can find out what is wrong please? I don't know if driving all the way to the fish to check is on....it might have to go on a trailer.

Could be anything, camshaft sensor, lambda, etc etc. you need to read the code for a start.
