Yes. The seller probably works on an oil rig and will need payment via Western Union!

price seems too low and no contact number so high chance of scammer. If it seems to good to be true then scam. Could also be a ringer in which HPI dont cover you if you pay 30% below the market price

quick free check on price

Dealer price
£11,288

Private price
£10,531

Part exchange
£9352

Trade price
£8888

Have you got any more details?

Do you hold the V5, in your name, at the address the car is at?

Thanks'

Mmmmmm!!! He's probably just fallen on bad times and needs to get some finances back in the bank. What other reason would somebody sell a car 3k under trade in?

If your interested in it, why not just HPi it and try and get a viewing done? Will be easy to tell if it's dodgy once you see the HPi report, car documents and give it a good inspection.

Be warned though, if it's a Diesel, it will have the GM gearbox. These are a ticking time bomb, as the converters pack up and destroy the gearbox. Avoid.

Rubbish. They have used this box in plenty of cars. While it does have it's problems, no more than any other auto box.

Thats like saying avoid all cars because engines go wrong.

Range Rovers use the same box. They failap quite often due to the output shaft stripping due to a faulty hardening process. Filters on certain batches are prone to failure too.

The torque converters on the BMW examples pack up, destroy the box (loss of drive) and then require a full rebuild.

Guess it's all rubbish though. My apologies. I just thought that after rebuilding hundreds of the bloody things, I would have a fairly good idea of how reliable they are and how likely they are to fail...
