Type r upgrades

If you feel it's down on power then it probably needs a damn good service, or fixing.
This. If it's down on power there will be a reason, fix that first, then upgrade. After that, to get any decent gains you will need a Hondata ecu so it can be remapped to suit the mods. Add to that a intake manifold from the accord Euro R, a decent manifold, decat and decent exhaust and you will get to about 240bhp.
The gruppe m induction kit (or the tegiwa copy) seem to get good results.
Not necessarily "down on power", but I wouldn't be surprised if your Type R feels flat as a fart with that K&N Typhoon on it. Nice short intake, sitting right at the back of the engine bay, adjacent to the engine, the perfect place to suck in loads of hot air. I've seen posts on Type R owners who bought a car with the Typhoon on it and found it to be like a different car once they sourced and fitted a standard airbox.
You will need to get a Hondata ECU mod to apply new maps to the car, which you will need to do once it's decatted or it will run rich.

Get rid of the induction kit , its probably sucking warm air into the engine.
Do the hondata mod on the airbox and bung a k and n air filter in , plus give it a service then rolling road it.
To gain any noticeable gains you'll need to shell out for some naughty bits...k pro , and so on.
