I recently purchased an arnage T on a 07 plate. I understand that it's original list price was around £160-180,000. I have wondered who would have been in the position to have written the cheque, but as I am the fourth owner the first owners name is not on the v5. Any of you guys know how to locate the first owner ?
I would like to say that I am not nosy , but it looks like I am.

As the registered keeper of the vehicle I think DVLA will provide you with details of previous owners....for a fee of course biggrin

Mmm, I think DVLA can provide these if they think you have a legitimate reason. You could perhaps say you wanted to talk to the original purchaser about optional extras or something like that, that you might have a good reason to know!

I also like that your car has had more owners in five years than mine has in thirteen, but congratulations on it nonetheless biggrin

Many thanks ! Is it that simple ? I thought that I would be caught up in the data protection lark. Not sure about the fee though
Us Bentley owners are a little carefully what we spend. Thanks again will try it.

You will find a lot of expensive stuff passes hands more frequently than run of the mill stuff.
Number of owners is irrelevant anyway its the condition that I look for.
Our local Porsche specialist said much of the stock has a few owners as the cars can be "toys" that get passed on after a year or so, to get a later model, financial problems and quite often as they are not practical enough.
Ive owned cars for 3-6 months on many occasions, I just get bored and sell on.

Oh, don't worry, I wasn't saying it against the car! It was purely a point of interest, it just seemed odd to think of such a high-value asset being passed around so often.
