Can anyone point me in th right direction for some cheap tool storage units. I am sorting out the old mans garage and i need to store his tools so we know where they are!!!!! I'm definatly not looking for snapon stuff, just a cheap effective solution to storing tools. They can be static and are literally only going to be used as draws...

you input is greatly recieved!

The Halfords Professional range is pretty good quality for the price.

I've had mine a year now and no complaints at all.

Screwfix?

They're always pretty well priced, you can view all their products at www.screwfix.com

There is a great one at Costco, if you have a card? Stands about 6ft high and is on heavy duty wheels so easily moved when the time comes.

another vote for the halfords stuff - quite often have big discounts on them too - I got mine with 1/3 off (and on trade!)

I'm not sure if the deal was still on (they may have extended it), but over the bank holiday weekend Halfords were doing their own brand red tool chests for half price.

I picked up a 6 drawer one which was apparently £119 for £59! - And it looks damn good in my garage that im kitting out!

Click here, they seem to be still doing it

They do a 5 draw one for £50 also.

Dark.

This or whoever has the best deal out of Halfords or Machinemart IMO.

A good discount but the drawers are friction not ball-bearing.
Makes quite a difference when fully loaded with tools.

I got the halfords 59quid one also last week, with the difference in price between that and the next ones up it was worth a punt. Not the biggest tool chest but big enough for what i've got and looks good in the garage smile

Last time I was there the stainless steel one I think you are refering to, was not there. They had this one in the link for around £360 I think it was.
The guy in this ebay sale looks like he also snapped the picture for his listing while at Costco...
