Hi all,

As above I have been asked a favor by my Boss. His son (24) requires a car that can cart around his band and instruments.

However its not just a recommend a estate...ow no, he requires the vehicle to have 8....yes 8 seats so all band members can move as one 'unit'.

Does a thing exist? I recommend a minivan but apparently that simply wont do.

So im chucking it to the lions.

Cheers guys/girls!

Not entirely a minivan, but would a VW Camper van thing do?

Or 4 MX5's, yeah.

Budget isn't an obstacle really, lets cap it at around 5k just to keep things realistic.

Land rover defender (They did those with a 9 seat option right?)... might have to put the instruments on the roof or in a trailer though

Sadly not Slipknot no, think more....wool jumpers, ball squishing jeans that don't go down to ankles and boat shoes......ow and straw hats.....

I have a feeling that he will have to bite the bullet and get a minibus....

What he wants is what's referred to in the business as a "splitter". Mercedes Sprinter LWB is the best - I can confirm after thousands of miles thrashing vans along the autobahn that they ride nicest at 100mph when badly loaded with amplifiers and the leftovers of the previous night's rider.

Something like this is ideal, the extra chrome and lights really help. biggrin I know it's only got seatbelts for 7 but changing around the seating in the back is fairly trivial - just a few captive nuts welded into the floor and a pair of coach seats bolted in.

Up to nine seats (including the driver) can be driven on a car license. If the guy hasn't driven vans much a reversing camera is probably a very good idea.

Oh.

Is this 8 seats for 8 people, or 8 seats for x people plus instruments? Because stuff going in a trailer might help.
