Car - Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD 2008 Z19DT (120)

I only get this fault coming up when it has been raining or damp the previous night.

It goes away when I turn off the ignition and then restart.

In the dry I have no issues and know for a fact that the ABS does work... looking at the paperwork for the car, the whole ABS unit in the engine bay was replaced in 2010.

I'm thinking its either a dodgy sensor or loom? Any other suggestions or ideas? How do I check the looms and sensors?

Any ideas to fault find on this one?

Edit - Also does anyone know of any code readers that will read codes other than EML that arent ridiculous money?

That how mine started out, damp broke it and a restart fixed it. Then it got worse over the next two years, until it broke completely.

Sensor crushed by a rusting fitment.

This month's PPC magazine has a group test of OBD code readers, some starting from around £25. Have a look there perhaps?

It'll be a sensor on one of the hubs. Simply unplug each one and stick a multimeter across the pins of the sensor/plug. Most are circa 1.5kOhm, but regardless, just look for the one that isn't the same as the others and replace. Job jobbed.
