Evening all,

Have got my father-in-law to agree to lend me his 4.0 Chim redface) However I can't find anyone to insure me. I'm 28 and have looked at all the temporary insurance I can find online but they won't cover me! Any suggestions?

Thanks

Can't your dad add you as a temporary named driver? SWMBO has done it for her mates before.

(although a TVR May be a different kettle of fish to a 1.2 Punto!)

Might be able to, but I think he has a special policy as he has around 10 cars! I'll ask, thanks.

What length of time are we talking? If it's over a month, just pay for a 12 month policy by direct debit...

Apologies for the thread hijack, but could you (or anyone else) suggest where I could get temporary cover from? I'm needing to be insured on my grandad's car for a week later this month. He's changed insurers recently and I don't think they'll allow temporary cover.

Oh, and it's not a TVR but a Citroen C3 1.6 HDisomethingorother grumpy

I used these to get two days cover to drive a car I purchased home today,

http://www.dayinsure.com/

Cover cost me £24.45 for 48 hours.
