Hi

Thinking of getting a motorhome

But it only has side facing bench seats like in the back of an old mini us

How safe would it be for kids if i have seetbelts installed for these spaces?

Or is it just not safe for kids like that?

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Parents/Yourchildsheal...

If they need a child seat or booster seat, government says no.

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_...

And apparently they're not advised for side facing seats anyway.

We have just brought a T25 camper van. My 3 year old daughter sits up front in her standard car seat with me and the missus sits at the rear with a lap belt.

You could probably get a standard seatbelt retro fitted, but not sure legalities of this sitting sideways in the van?

Hi Phil,

The aboves right, children 12 or under need a booster seat which therefore needs a proper 3 point seatbelt where as adults can travels side or rear facing without a belt as long as they have a seat to sit in.

Im a Motorhome salesman of many years, any advie you need just p.m me.
