Quick detailing spray
Discussion
Im going to give my car a good clean tomorrow and went and bought all I need today, but the thing I am worried about is the "quick detailing spray" I need. When I bought my meguiars clay bar kit a while ago, it came with "quick detailing spray", I've only got a bit left so went to halfords to see if I could get some more, they only sold the "quick detailing spray" as part of the clay bar kit but I found some meguiars "ultimate quick detail spray", will this be ok to use while I'm claying my car??
I did ask in the shop and they said its the same stuff, just with a different label, I don't really trust their advice so was hoping someone on here might be able to help please

For future use, once you've finished your Meguires clay bar, Bilt Hamber's clay is excellent and only requires water as a lubricant which saves money and hassle. Can't recommend it highly enough.
In the meantime, as already stated, the QD you picked up will be fine, or make your own using a shampoo with good lubricity.

Just checked the Meguiars I used as a replacement was the NXT speed detailer. This Moderator on the Meguiars forum linked below said NOT to use the Ultimate stuff as a replacement lube.

Cheers zb, I'm not gonna use it then, I'm gonna go back to halfords and buy another clay bar kit, then I know I'll be alright.http://forum.meguiars.co.uk/showthread.php?5575-Cl...
I've used the Meguairs (?) detailing spray with blu-tac; the blu-tac doesn't last as long as a clay bar but it is a lot cheaper, much more readily available and does a good-enough job for me as long as the bit I use is replaced every couple of panels
.
And no, I'm not trolling; I am serious!
