Petrolhead points deducted
Discussion
driving my A2 this morning and every time I accelerate i got this loud whistle. After dismissing tinnatus as a potential cause I thought it could be something from the exhaust
so into a garage i pulled and the guy looks all round for 5 mins , starts up the engine revs it up, no whistle
then took it for a spin up the road and he gets out and looks around the back
petrol filler cap open around 10mm
closed it and the whistle had gone
surely i have to be deducted petrol head points for this, not to mention never going back to the garage again

Audi A2 is petrol head gold. It's sits ideally in a fleet as an interesting, quirky city chariot
I love the engineering, but a mate of mine had one and it was always broken. If it doesn't move it isn't a car.Although that is all based on a sample size on one, which makes my opionion statistically insignificant.
I've been cursing at my car for developing a very annoying rattle which had me doing the thing of pressing down and thumping bits of trim while driving along to try and identify it.
After a week or so of this malarkey while commuting I identified the noise as coming from a coat hanger I'd left lying about rattling against the seat base. My fault. Sorry car.

whats with all the A2 moaning
it is a great iconic piece of German engineering
sure it flopped, but its rare with an aluminium space frame which cost Audi £10k each, and they only made money on the extras list
but can't beat 45mpg and up to 55 on a run
and it;s the only car thats been on the London Eye
