Nissan primastar
Discussion
09 plate primastar, just been told two injectors seized in, main dealer advised looks like new engine. Couldn't guarantee getting injectors don't have specific tool. Also want to test ecu just incase there's an electrical fault. This protected by a cover and anti tamper screws. There's no tool for removing this asking for permission to smash cover off. Van out of warranty 22 May, mileage less than 50k full service history. Is this normal? Surely a manufacturer must ensure any vehicle they sell is serviceable, and how in this day and age can they justify new engine for two faulty injectors. Any advice welcome, the repair cost is horrendous
2 litre diesel?
The injectors do fail, and they do seize in the head. The only tool I've seen to get them out is a renault workshop tool. I've also seen some illegitimate ways of getting them out as well

h and moan at the dealer. This is a common problem and it's the price they pay when they use Renault engines.
