How do you pronounce AUDI ?

Bit of a weird one ,my mate at college used to say OOOUUUUURRRRDII (think thick black country accent).
First time i heard him say it , my tutor came out with the same thing and i started to cry with laufter.
i prounounce it ooowdi ,kinda of like howdi but without the H ,also the same way audi prounounce it on there adverts.

so who says what and why ...

But yes, "howdy" without the h is a good way to describe how Audi should be pronounced.

I had an instructor for a course who pronounced it as if he was saying "audio", but without the 'o' on the end, so it sounded like what I presumed the OP is saying. Orrdee.

The same could be said for Hyundai. You have those who say "Hi-un-dai" and those (including the TV advert a few years ago) that say "Hyun-day".

I noticed that shortly after that advert came out, it then changed to "Hi-un-dai" from then on.
