Who's owned a car the longest

Just got a new taxdisc for my Cobra this week and realised I've owned it for 23 years.
I bought at the daftest time in my life when I didn't really have the money. It caused my girlfriend at the time to leave me as I obviously wasn't nesting material, and remained my only car for commuting for a year or so. It has been with me longer than anything in my life except my parents. Thought of selling it a number of times and its probably driven about 100 miles a year. It makes absolutely no sense to keep insuring it and taxing it, but I never managed to part with it. My wife has flatly refused to bury me in it, which is ironic as it was based on a jaguar hearse.
Obviously on PH this will be beaten in the next couple of posts, but I'd be interested to find out what the longest anyones ever kept a car and why.
