Hi all,

I've just sold my car (FN2 Type R) and I'm completely stuck on a replacement.

Max budget is 8k. Heres the requirements :

- Seat 4
- Reliable - will be a daily runner
- Dog friendly
- Fun when pushed on.

Open to suggestions - At the moment I'm thinking of an early mk5 R32, but after that I'm stumped. Have had a Mazda 3 MPS before so don't want to go down that route again.

How big a dog?

And what was wrong/why did you sell the Type R?

My suggestion...

Audi B5 S4 Avant with a few tweaks to 500hp.
MG ZT-T260 with as many mods as you can find for your budget

Just fancied a change really - have had it for over three years.

Would rather stay away from modified cars, like to keep a car reasonably standard.

Dog is large lab sized.

If I could get a 335i for my budget, I'd have it bought already!

The r32 is a great car and you wont be disapointed. I'd also look at the s3 and a scooby estate

Only problem is for the 8k budget I'm looking at a slightly leggy model (80k or so). Is that a problem?

E39 M5?

It has got to be dog friendly: mine was full of dog hair under the rear seat when I bought it!

Cant really go wrong. They are thirsty and not that quick however. (going on numbers alone, never driven one)
