One of my friends has asked me to find him a driver / chauffeur for 1 month.

Where would I go about finding one quickly? Start would be almost immediately and te driving would be mainly in central London so must know London well.

My friend owns his own car so they only need a driver. From what he has said to me they would want the driver for 7- 9 hours a day.

So where can I find someone who has experience and will be professional.

I presume their are agencies for this sort of thing.

Dare I ask why?

wavey, except
a) I've let my private hire licence lapse
b) I'll be marking exams for another 3 weeks.

I did work for a company called Communicor (then based in Ealing) some years ago. They had heaps of chauffeurs on their books.

I would take a guess at short-term ban?

Well mainly he lives abroad even though he visits every few months here. He's down with his whole family for a summer holiday.

Rather than take taxis everywhere or drive himself he would prefer a driver.

Im assuming most journeys will be from his house( central London) to Harrods/selfridges/nice restaurant.

No ban - he is accustomed to being chauffeured around in his own country.

Fair enough thumbup - a short ban is probably the reason most people (who own a car) do it short term though so you can see my thinking.
