I need to replace a length of washer hose on my '97 Toyota Carina and I've measured the internal diameter as 4mm(ish). I'm just about to order a length of tubing and a straight connector from Euorcarparts.com and the only option they give me for washer hose for my car is 1/8" or 1/16". Any ideas if the 1/8" is what I need and should I use a 4mm connector to join it to the old pipe? Thanks

1/8 is nearest to 4mm ,seems strange they want to sell imperial sizes though.

Do you reckon it'll be a good enough fit though?

1/8" is 3.125mm, 1/16" is half that.

Pop the end into a mug of boiling water to make fitting easier. A drop of Fairy liquid will help slide it onto the coupling.

OK I think I'll give the imperial pipe a try since it's probably closest to the original. Thanks for the tip about the hot water - I'll give that a go as well!
Thanks everyone
