Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to buy my next sports car currently have a BMW 325ti M Sport.
The cars im currently look at are;
Porsche Cayman S
BMW Z4M Coupe
SLK55 AMG

Insurance quotes are as follows (approx)
PCS = £2300
Z4M = £1800
SLK55AMG = £1800

Buying price are approx;
PCS = £17,500+
Z4MCoupe = 15,500+
SLK55AMG = 17,500+

Im not sure of the annual running costs of these which is where i am looking for some info off you guys! smile

Many thanks for you help!

for a 2-seater roadster I would be more than happy with any of the 3 you are considering! I think the z4m and slk55 are a little more special. For running costs I would guess that the z4m would be best and most reliable, also the slk is a bit of a hairdresser's car IMO, soo if you are male go for the Z4M! If you do end up with the slk55 then remove the silencers to fully enjoy the glorious 5.4 V8!

Welcome.

Insurance costs, on all three, are rather high so you either have previous or your cursed with youth..

Take them all out for a drive and see what you enjoy most as the running costs will be rather similar.

I looked at them all before buying my current car. I doubt there's much in it in terms of running costs. All of them should be broadly reliable but any of them could throw up a pretty horrific bill if something does go wrong.

Buy whichever you like best. smile

That's a fantastic lineup to choose from!

I think I'd choose the SLK and get a custom exhaust for a bit more noise. You could choose any of them and win. smile

Does the AMG come in a manual gear box?

Just auto.
I think the later ones have flappy paddles.

I would say the choice down to personal preference v

Which one do you want the most?
If im honest I would like the Cayman S, but its the most to insure at £2300+. I'm also wondering if I can take my name driver no claims from direct line to Admrial, would they accept them? there seems to be an option on the Go Compare website when you choose no no claims bonus, at the end they ask for number of name driver no claims.
