Doesn't sound good, but the 21-year-old just got away with a bit of bruising, which is either a testament to the safety of the car or if you're writing for the Daily Mail a 'Miracle'.
If privately rented there would surely be a problem with going to a VMax event to push the cars limits? Can't imagine that being insurable. Also, if it were one of those 'experience' days I'm pretty sure a spoilsport has to ride shotgun in case you have too much fun?

This is very odd, Woodford has never been used for any kind of event involving cars before. It was sold by BAE Systems a few months ago to Joe Bamford of JCB family fame. My first thought was that the people involved could be Bamfords as they're petrolheads.
The house the car hit is very close to the end of the runway so I can see how they managed to hit it, but the crash must have been immense as there's a drop from the airfield down to the property.
