Having noticed alot of people finding old cars and taking on restoration projects, what cars from now would you like to find and restore in 30 years time in a barn?

It seems alot of mundane stuff like bmw E30s turn up, i cant see the same happening with a f10

Something raw and simple like an Exige. I couldn't even begin to imagine how difficult it would be to fix something that had electronically-controlled-everything.

Cars now have so much technology I reckon many will just be too uneconomical to fix and will just be scrapped.

i'm not so sure. we were saying that about cars like mine when they first came out. now they're pretty easy to work on. i reckon (or hope) it'll be the same in the future for cars of today.

Im not sure anything modern would be saveable after a period out of use.

A mechanic friend of mine recently dragged an 02 plate Passat out of a garage that has not been started or used for 4 years. Everything on it is seized solid! He was hoping to save it as its only done 16,000 miles but its only fit for scrap apparently!

I'd like to barn find an entirely unmoddified GT86.

Also an Exige S.

monaro? basic enough for people not to have to worry about finding a load of obsolete electrical parts. rare enough so its actally worth restoring.
plus it would coincide with me being bang in the middle of my mid life crises and i can relive my youth again!

I was going to suggest the GT86 myself for the same reason. I bet there will not be many left that haven't been unmolested.

I think a good pre hatchback unmodified STi would be a nice find in a good few years.

A totally unmolested Range Rover Sport S/c.

A totally unmolested S Type R Jag.

A totally unmolested Scooby/Mitsi Evo thingy. Absolutely hate them, but realise they might have a 'value' in 30 years time.

Good call on the Citroen C6, it's on my list for when they get a bit cheaper.

Evo VI TME

Ok so it already 10 years old, so I'll just have to find one in about 20 not 30 years biggrin

If it has to be new then I am going with Nissan GTR, buy god knows how I would restore it.
