Has anyone managed to get through to them, I've been trying to get a quote and change a car over on a policy for the last week and have made over 15 calls and still haven't go through.... just keep getting put on hold!? Starting to p**s me off now!!
If they put you on hold, you have to wait.If you hang up, then call back, you go to the back of the queue. Pretty simple stuff mate. Just phone them when you've got nothing else to do, wait your turn, and get it dealt with.
Have you never had to deal with a call centre before?
I've never had a problem getting through to Admiral.
I'd guess that you are either completely exaggerating or you're not using your telephone properly. Once they put you on hold, you must wait until you get an answer... Are you hanging up at this point? Because that's where you'd be going wrong.
Call later in the evening, I've found they tend to be quieter then.

i just changed my car on an admiral policy a couple of weeks ago, got through first time with no problems
Also, this. Added a car to my multicar 3 or 4 weeks ago, no problems. 5 mins and details were updated, they were paid, sorted, so not sure why they're so hard to get a hold of this week? Also OP, I spoke to admiral last week, I had the usual 5minute queue but nothing too bad.

Dunno tbh mate. It was her idea. I always thought the whole idea was that you could use your no-claims on all your cars, since it's one policy, but apparently not. So I've got the Shogun, with my NCB against it, Laura's got the Impreza, with her NCB against it, and I've added the MR2 to the policy, but with 0NCB.
They gave me an additional discount off the other 2 cars when I added the MR2, so basically, they quoted me a price, then told me they'd give me another £60 off it.
I'll keep it on there for a year, til I get a years NCB, then i'll go with a more specialist insurer. I tried, but they wouldn't take me with 0NCB to use.
Can you have two lots of NCB against one person?!They gave me an additional discount off the other 2 cars when I added the MR2, so basically, they quoted me a price, then told me they'd give me another £60 off it.

Whats the crack with this multicar? I got a quote last week £3600. I ran the same quotes for the cars individually and it came out at £1200 and £900. I expected multicar would run the quotes as individual cars then give a percentage discount.
Also OP, I spoke to admiral last week, I had the usual 5minute queue but nothing too bad.

Phoned Direct Line to add myself on to SWMBO Mini Cooper S, they wanted £1k, Insured the two of us on an RCZ & MCS £1,100. Then tried to add a Saab 95 Shed estate on, they wanted £700 (for a car worth £500), spoke to a friend who works there and asked how to work the best price, used his advice and managed to get 6 years complimentary NCB on the Saab (max as SWMBO has only been driving 6 years), Saab was then £400.
OT: Never had any trouble contacting them, when I do, they are always very friendly and very helpful*
*Probably due to the fact they are always on team building days (jollys) and their working environment is so laid back (think pool/table tennis competition, come to work as a pirate thursdays, fund wednesdays, regular free nights at Oceana etc etc).

There's got to be something wrong there! I've just praised them for my renewal. I was crapping it because people were saying they drag you in fit your first year with a good price but then reem you on renewal. I was getting individual quotes of app, £1500 for my ML and £8/£900 for wife's Boxster S but muilticar renewal was £1248 for both!!

They're stil up to the old tricks with renewall prices though
My renewall came through at £2260 on the BMW, I ran a fresh quote with the same details and £1200. Cheeky beggers.doogz said:

I think the following is a summary of the Admiral multi-car policy:Multi-policies under one policy number
Discount per individual policy for having multi-policies
NCD is per individual policy
All policy renewal dates are aligned
Single premium quoted but breakdown between individual policies is given as well

I always assume I'm talking to someone who looks like Stacey from Gavin and Stacey...
Truth is its most likely someone who looks like Nessa xD.I've never had problems getting hold of them to get a quote/insure it, but their claims department? Nightmare!
