I think he's saying if you put a thread title along the lines of 'Astra 1.6 - replacement set of 4 pin airbags?' Then you might get a better response.....

You'll find (if you stay around for any length of time) that the verbal ribbing is par for the course, take it on the chin, laugh along and move on from it. It's happened to all of us at some point, it's how you handle it that counts

this site was recommended to me as possibly helping someone who has had an horrific time and been messed about by a so called friend and stuck with a car that needs more work. I need advice not ridicule and any kind or sensible help would be appreciated, if there is anyone who can manage it

OK - trying to be serious for a moment, are you having trouble actually finding the parts, or you've found the parts but only for a 2008? In which case, I would say cross check the part numbers. What avenues have you tried so far to locate them?

The mechanic who is trying to put my humpty dumpty car back together is scouring various online places inc EBay. I have no idea what I am looking for but know that we need 4 pin NOT 2 pin and that a set of either 2008 OR 2009 airbags would be ok. he can find 2005 or 2006 but is struggling, so thought I'd ask on here as you helped me before. The car is a Cat D write off and a 'friend' I use the term loosely, made a real hash of repairing it, so it is now with someone who knows what they are doing, but the airbag thing means work has stopped. just hoped one of you guys/girls :-) might have some advice for me

now been informed I need a single pin green, whatever that is, NOT a four pin. wish they'd just stick with one type, then again, think of all the fun we'd miss out on trawling sites for parts grrrr
