Iconic... Tailpipes?

As there's a theme starting with 'iconic...' threads, what would be an iconic tailpipe that a car can be asily recognised from by a true petrol head?

I suggest this - MK2 Golf GTI OEM tailpipes.



Instantly recognisable and always give a good tone from a well driven GTI. Can tell the noise miles off.

Never knew why they were angled though? :/

Although... they're actually just part of the bumper trim, about an inch inwards are plain round exhaust pipes... :/

Yes, but I think they'd still be recognised as tailpipes in the broader sense of the term.
